I just got up this morning and switched on BBC News 24 in time to see footage of Matt Smith running through Cardiff with the Olympic Torch!

No interviews with him though, so he must have hurried off fast.

Now I have to get ready for my taekwon-do tournament!

So, it has been announced today that Matt Smith will be the new doctor.

I heard the news via text as I was in Birmingham at the time; I've never heard of him - but then again, I had no idea who David Tennant was when he became the Doctor.
